Mr B is GREEN MEADOW'S official founder, manager, and bandleader. He plays lead guitar, provides vocals, and assigns song homework to his fellow band mates. He is retired and is a former high school science teacher (hence the homework), accounts manager, and insurance sales manager. When not plugging away on his musical march of song mastery, he enjoys basketball, gardening, and fishing--especially wading in the Snake River and fishing from his 12' John boat in the small lakes in the Braham area. Mr B grew up on a dairy farm west of Willow River, MN. He played piano from 3rd to 5th grade and began guitar at age 15. He has always enjoyed Classic and Country Rock--The Outlaws, Chicago, and the Marshall Tucker Band. As a high school senior, he and three other classmates formed a band called "Homemayde." Their band played popular songs of the time. After graduation, he put down his guitar and concentrated on adult life. Only recently--2020--did he decide to remove the cobwebs from his guitar strings and start strumming again. Fun fact: As of 1/01/2024, Mr B has donated 152 pints of blood. That's quite the gift of life!
Blu is GREEN MEADOW'S other lead guitarist. He also provides vocals and on and off-stage wisecracks. After being born in Minnesota's rival state of Wisconsin, Blu and his family traveled to the Land of 10,000 Lakes and put down roots. At age 12 he began to play piano, followed by guitar lessons, and joined the choir in high school. His favorite music has always been Classic Rock. After Blu graduated from Cambridge High School, he joined a country band called the "Outriders" while attending college in Phoenix. He has worked various jobs, including one as a tech at the Cambridge State Hospital. Says Blu, "No, I didn't wear a white uniform and carry around straitjackets. And there wasn't a Nurse Ratched." He resides in Braham and enjoys golf, fishing, music, crossword puzzles, reading, and trivia. Fun fact: As the band's official wisecracker, Blu thrives on puns and word humor. So watch what you say!
Mr T plays rhythm guitar and provides vocals for GREEN MEADOW. He also is the band's lead whistler. Says Mr T, "From my earliest memory, I always had a huge urge to sing." He grew up in Crete, ND and, due to his talented voice, at age 9 he had the opportunity to sing on TV. Twice. Unfortunately, his musical career was cut short as his family needed him home to work the farm. But farm life didn't stop his desires. Wanting to some day join a band, Mr T began to play guitar at age 13. He enjoyed Rock-n-Roll, Bobby Vee, and the Rat Pack. While in high school, he formed a band called "Terry and the Creoles" and played at various venues. Mr T is a former over-the-road truck driver and drove a rig across the U.S. In addition to singing with GREEN MEADOW these days, he still hits the karaoke scene every week. Fun fact: Years ago, Mr T found another way to get on stage-- front and center--and use his skilled voice. He became an auctioneer!
Cat is GREEN MEADOW'S other rhythm guitarist. "Advanced beginner rhythm guitarist," says Cat. She also provides vocals. She is a retired healthcare worker and spent most of her career in the O.R. Cat grew up in the Twin Cities and always liked music--be it listening to Casey Kasem's "American Top 40" or dancing to '70s disco and '50s rock music. She liked to sing along with her mother's Barbra Streisand, Loretta Lynn, and Tammy Wynette albums. As a young teen, when the film "Coal Miner's Daughter" came to the theater, she paid to see the movie at least 10 times. Besides being drawn to singing, she learned to play the chord organ at age 12, piano at 16, and guitar (sort of) at 35. Like Mr B, she only recently dusted off her guitar and fumigated the spiders living in its soundhole. Besides trying to improve her guitar skills so the band won't kick her out, she sings karaoke, reads voraciously, and writes poetry, fiction, mystery, and memoir. Fun fact: Cat is a closet belly dancer and only performs for her five black cats and pony-size dog. Her animal audience doesn't heckle, whistle, boo, or throw rotten tomatoes.
